These measures are designed to reduce contamination risk, support traceability, and align operational practices with recognised poultry biosecurity principles, including routine review and corrective action where required.
- Controlled site access for visitors, contractors, delivery vehicles, and equipment entering poultry production areas.
- Footbath, hand-sanitising, and protective-clothing protocols at designated entry points.
- Cleaning and disinfection of equipment, tools, vehicles, and handling surfaces before and after site contact.
- Responsible movement control to prevent cross-contamination between poultry houses, storage areas, and delivery zones.
- Batch traceability, delivery records, and compliance checks to support accountability and corrective action where required.
- Routine testing of relevant shavings for Aspergillus and Avian Influenza risk indicators to support product-health assurance and biosecurity compliance.
- Paraformaldehyde is added to poultry shavings as an additional biosecurity treatment measure, with the option to omit this treatment upon client request.
